Oak, top to bottom
The tall bank and island are faced in natural European oak veneer, run so the grain continues across doors and drawer fronts. Above the run, gloss white uppers with concealed lighting keep the working wall bright without competing with the timber.
Everything is handleless. Tall units are push-to-open; base storage is deep drawers on soft-close runners rated to 70 kg.
Marble and brass
The island carries a soft white marble worktop with a mitred edge, sized for seating on the long side and prep on the other. Satin brass tapware and slim brass pendants pick up the same tone, warmed by under-cabinet lighting on a dimmed circuit.
Open to the garden
Full-height sliding glazing runs the length of the dining end, with the terrace lit so the glass reads as depth rather than a black mirror at night. Appliances are fully integrated to keep the elevation quiet.

Asked often.
Does marble stain in a family kitchen?
Marble does patinate. We seal every top and can specify a honed finish or a quartzite alternative if you would prefer a lower-maintenance surface.
How much does an oak and marble island kitchen cost in London?
Most projects of this size fall between £34,000 and £78,000 fitted, depending on stone selection and appliance specification. Made in our own workshop, with no middlemen.
