A colour that stays liveable
Powder Blue was drawn for households that want colour but not commitment. The tone is desaturated enough to sit alongside almost any flooring, tile or worktop, which makes it forgiving in a room that will change around it over a decade.
It is particularly effective in bright, south-facing extensions where a stronger colour would become overwhelming by mid-afternoon.
Family-first planning
The layout separates the wet zone, the hot zone and the social zone so multiple people can be in the kitchen without collision. Deep pan drawers flank the hob, a tall larder holds dry goods, and the island's seating side is deliberately kept clear of appliances.
Low-level drawers are specified with child-safe soft-close and internal dividers, and the bin drawer is positioned within a step of both the prep zone and the back door. Built and fitted by |one team|.
Marble, tile and texture
Pale marble worktops keep the scheme light; a hand-glazed ivory tile splashback in a brick or stack bond adds the slight surface irregularity that stops a soft colour scheme from looking flat.
Where a family prefers no grout at all, the tile is replaced with a full-height stone slab behind the hob.
Brass and the finishing details
Brushed brass hardware and tapware warm the blue. Glazed wall cabinets with painted interiors carry everyday glassware; open shelving is used sparingly, on the basis that in a real family kitchen it collects everything.
Lighting runs on three circuits with dimmers, so the same room works for homework at seven and dinner at nine.

Asked often.
Will powder blue date?
Desaturated colours age far better than saturated ones. This tone sits close to a neutral, and because it is painted joinery it can be re-sprayed any colour in future without replacing cabinetry.
Tile or stone splashback?
Tile gives texture and a more traditional register; a stone slab gives no grout and easier cleaning. Families with a heavily used hob usually prefer stone behind the cooking zone and tile elsewhere.
How much does a powder blue kitchen cost in London?
Most projects fall between £32,000 and £78,000 fitted, depending on footprint, worktop and appliance choices. No middlemen.
Do you make matching utility rooms?
Yes — utility, boot rooms and pantries are routinely drawn in the same paint, hardware and reveal detail.
